Brockville Railway Tunnel Park Development Project – Concept Design and Consultation

Momentum was commissioned by MTBA Associates INC on behalf of the City of Brockville, to provide planning, communication, facilitation and community engagement services. The consultation activities in this project included seeking input from Members of the Brockville Railway Committee, Community Stakeholders and Residents.
The ultimate goal was to reach consensus on a final preferred concept plan for the redevelopment of the proposed Railway Tunnel Park. To gain public input, two public meetings were held with the first one scheduled following the determination of three concept options. To ensure meaningful public feedback, the first of the two public meetings allowed residents to fully understand the challenges in redeveloping the three acres of the former railway lands through the presentation of three very distinct concept options.
The second meeting with the public was a detailed information session on how the final concept plan was put together through the proponent’s interpretation of the public’s, the Brockville Railway Committee and City Council’s input.
