Fairmont Château Laurier Hotel Addition Project, 1 Rideau Street – Larco Investments LTD

Applications required: Site Plan and Minor Variance, Federal Land Use and Design Approvals

The proposal will see the removal of the 1960’s 4 storey parking garage at the rear of the hotel property and its replacement with 5 storeys of underground parking. The addition will include approximately 200 new long stay hotel suites and a new interior courtyard serving the Grand Ballroom.  New features will also include green roofs and a second storey private terrace overlooking Majors Hill Park.
The Momentum Team was hired by Larco Investments LTD owners of the  Château Laurier hotel, because of its strong reputation and its proven record with City Hall staff, elected officials as well its credibility with local community groups.
Our work entails the preparation of the necessary planning documents and managing the approval process for site plan applications, coordinating other consultants and preparation and attendance at Planning Committee and other related required meetings. Our communication services provide overall strategic advice, media relations, community engagement events, group facilitation along with graphic design, translation, writing and editing services.
